We specialise in private, boutique tours around Sydney and its surrounds. The tours are all fully catered towards individual private groups, so you don’t have to share the tour with another group or people you don’t know.

We offer a range of half-day sightseeing tours (5 hours) and full-day sightseeing tours (9 hours), perfect for those with limited time but eager to experience the highlights of Sydney with a local guide. If you want to extend the length of the journey, we can also organise overnight or multi-day trips.

Yes, Harbour City Tours’ itineraries are highly flexible. You can select one of our pre-designed itineraries such as Kiama & Kangaroos, Hawkesbury River Secrets or Sydney’s Best Beaches, or let us build a completely personalised tour based on your interests and do Sydney Your Way.

Yes. Many tours are suitable for all ages. Please advise us in advance if there are special mobility requirements so we can tailor accordingly. We've hosted guests from 7 to 85 years of age. 

Your tour includes pick-up and drop-off at your Sydney hotel, alternative central Sydney location, cruise ship or airport. Please enquire about outskirts or non-central pick-up, which may incur an additional cost. 

For small tour groups or families of up to 6 people, we operate in modern, premium mini vans. Our comfortable vehicles have multi-zone air-conditioning and plenty of legroom. For larger groups (12 to 60 people), we operate in a modern and comfortable mini bus or coach, with a driver. 

Yes, child and infant car seats can be arranged and for our tours. Please advise us at time of booking, so we can install it in the vehicle prior to the tour. A small fee applies as we need to hire the child seats in advance. Under Australian traffic law, young children aged seven years or under must be restrained in an approved child or booster seat.

 Our tours are currently offered in English, however we can arrange interpreters in various international languages with advance notice. Additional fees apply,

Yes, of course! We do run private tours for solo travellers; this is no problem and we welcome the chance to offer one on one highly personalised experiences. 

Inclusions vary depending on the tour type. Typically, you’ll have: a local guide with deep Sydney knowledge, transport in a comfortable vehicle (with a driver for larger groups), bottled water, 'Taste of Australia' snack packs to share, and a flexible set itinerary customised to suit your interests.

We suggest:

• Comfortable clothes and shoes for walking or uneven terrain
• Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
• A light jacket or layer (Sydney weather can change during the day)
• Camera/phone to capture the sights
• Any personal medication or mobility aids
• Photo ID such as a passport or drivers license for entry into licensed clubs

It’s best to book as soon as you have confirmed your travel dates, as our tours get booked well in advance. Please still get in touch for your last-minute requests, too, as our schedules can sometimes change. We will always do our best to accommodate our guests. 

We monitor weather conditions carefully. If severe weather makes the tour unsafe, we’ll contact you to discuss alternatives, rather than simply cancelling at the last minute.

Tours will proceed regardless of weather conditions unless it is unsafe to do so. In this case, you can reschedule your tour date. If you need to cancel your tour, please notify us as early as possible—cancellation terms and refund policies apply based on the notice period.

Yes. Harbour City Tours offers tours for corporate, conference and incentive delegate groups. We can also arrange gift-style private tour bookings or a tour gift voucher.
